Lauren, stylist/colorist, makeup artist

While always being impassioned with hairstyling and makeup artistry from a young age, Lauren decided to attend Toni and Guy Academy to attain her cosmetology degree. After being part of Christiaan for a few years, she has come to love perfecting short and sassy hairstyles. When asked about her favorite hair services, she replied "I love to braid and highlight hair”. They are like knitting in a way because they are very therapeutic for me." Lauren has also been extensively trained in our TIGI Makeup line and loves doing any application from classic to bridal to fantasy. It is easy to see how much she loves her career when you are in her chair for her services. She loves to think outside the box when it comes to her field, and it shows in the photo shoots that she works on in our salon. On a personal note Lauren is a Beatles fanatic, loves classic musicals, and is always happy to chat about her dog and niece.

I'm so glad I went to Christiaan for the first time. I had such a good experience. I was able to make a same day appointment, plus I got the student discount (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Lauren was my hair stylist, and she was an expert on DevaCurl products. For those of you who don't know about DevaCurl- it's a revolutionary haircare line for people with curly or frizzy hair. Lauren went out of her way to give me tips on how to style my hair, and how to keep my hair healthy and nourished. People who have gone through DevaCurl training have such a thorough understanding about the science behind hair. They are able to articulate the nuances about hair care, and the reasoning behind the what they have been taught during their training. Lauren was really friendly, generous and competent- I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. Plus, I left with a bunch of valuable coupons... so I'll definitely be back.

I went here for the first time to donate my hair to Locks of Love. I had Lauren and she was such a joy. She took off 15" of hair and I LOVE it. I've literally had strangers stop me on the street to ask me where I had my hair done. One of my friends said I have "celebrity hair" now. I'd highly recommend this salon. Everyone was friendly and the prices are very reasonable for a salon quality cut. Ask for Lui! For those interested in donating hair to Locks for Love, this salon will do it for you! No need to bring it home in a bag and mail it later.
