-My mom always said that I'd be a hairstylist. I gave myself my first haircut at the age of 3. I had a perm in 3rd grade. Trust me; you don't want to see the pictures.
-In my early teens, all my friends and family members would come to me for their hair needs.
-I had dreams of going to art school and becoming a tattoo artist. I love my tattoos there is a meaning behind everyone. It's like a timeline of my life so far. "Most people hang their art on the wall, I get to carry mine around with me."

-I love these services they are about transformation going from curly to straight. short to long, making clients feel good about themselves.

-I call Providence my home, but any opportunity to travel and explore the world, I’m there. Love experiencing culture, food, history, architecture, Oh and seeing the different hair styles. I’ve been to Portugal, Spain, Amsterdam, Berlin and Prague. I'll be traveling to Iceland, Finland, and Russia this coming year.

Shannon has succesfully completed the Certification Academy of New England Goldwell. This course consisted of 8 full days of instruction covering every aspect and category of the Goldwell Color Line including hands on work. That's not counting all the home work she had! Shannon found it to be very intense and extremely educational. She is currently working on becoming an educater for Goldwell where she will pass on her knowledge to other stylists.


		This is a collage that I put together of a Bio Ionic Japanese Straightening. Before and after pics of my beautiful client Amanda. And in the before pics, that is her natural texture. I moved to USA in December and I needed to find a good hair dresser to have my yearly Japanese/Permanent hair straightening as I used to do Europe. As it is very expensive treatment I wanted to make sure I would have the best hands on my hair. And I did, after searching exhaustively where to go: Providence, Boston or even NY, I went 1st to a fair share of hair dressers in Providence. Christiaan Salon was the 4th I went and after talking with Shannon I was convinced. Shannon is a very interesting woman and she won't let you get bored (as the treatment lasts 3-4 hours). My hair looked fantastic after the treatment and I was so surprised as it usually takes me the all day to do the same treatment in Europe, my curly roots were beautifully straight! Unfortunately, after washing I noticed I still had some waves in the back of my head (my stubborn hair his extremely curly it has to stay with the treatment longer than usual). Some weeks after I showed it to Shannon that apologized and remade the treatment again in the following week! For her professionalism; outstanding service and also for being so humble and attentive I definitely recommend her treatment to anyone that is tired of the curly hair and is looking for a quality treatment. A little bit about my story and how I ended up at Christaan. I have had different types of extensions in the past Great Lengths right before I switched to Christiaan and SoCap.

Shannon is a miracle worker! Shannon and Christiaan we recommended to me by my previous stylist of 10 years (who did my color and cut) because the Salon and Stylist I was currently going to for my extensions wasn't living up to my expectations anymore. ( and I am sad to say my previous stylist because after Shannon filling in and coloring my hair in a bind just 1X she did such an amazing job that I had to leave my 10 year relationship and go to her for everything!!!!)

I began getting my extensions with Shannon about 2 years ago and I get them taken out and a new set put in about 3 times a year and every time she puts them in I think how can she do better than the previous set and she does. If I must say so my hair is AMAZING!!!! I get more compliments on my long beautiful hair that I now love to shock people and tell them its extensions and show them how they are attached to my own hair.

The service and quality that I get from Shannon and Christiaan is worth every penny!!!!

I found Christiaan a few years back and will not stop going until I leave Providence! Every girl knows that you develop a special relationship with your hair stylist! A hair cut is a very personal thing.. and so important to a person's well-being! Luckily I found Shannon... Providence's most amazing stylist. She is fun, energetic, and out-going as are most of Christiaan's stylists. I always feel as if I am being pampered...comfy chairs, good coffee, and magazines, and I always walk out with fabulous hair color, a great cut, and a super fun style that I can wear all weekend (that's when I like to book my appointments to make the most of the style).
